Quarter Horses

Quarter Horses get their name because they can run a quarter of a mile at top speed. They were orianally  breed for cattle work. But, then they became great barrel horses. they are now used more for gaming and pleasure riding (such as trail riding).

Quarter horses are widely known for their speed and agility. Many QH are breed for the rodeo and other fast moving games. But, along with their speed comes gentleness. they are kind and caring. They make great kids horses and are also good for beggining riders.

QH comes in many colors but the most comon is sorrel. QH are a great way to get a mixture of colors in one breed.

Nine times out of ten when you go to a Rodeo the horse you are seeing is a QH.
